Many success stories start by chance – including the history of VETTER Umformtechnik GmbH. The production of forks was not planned from the beginning. However, free forging capacities enabled the first production in 1965. A neighbor company ordered forks for their lift truck – annual demand 26
forks at that time. Even if the beginning was difficult, we took a fancy to forks. Very soon we realized the potential of forks as a product and invested in production. Over the years, focusing led to natural growth – and finally to the independent business division “Quality Forks” in 1991 and parallel set-up of the plant at today’s location in Burbach / Germany. Nowadays, VETTER is one of the world leading manufacturers of Quality Forks and components for lift trucks, construction and agricultural machines. Many customers from the beginning remain faithful. It is our aim to continue in this way by concentrating on the demands of our customers and offering a complete range of products and services.
